• AFEX: AFEX is a party DJ ADAM 12 started in 2008. Billed as “1979 - 1999 Hip Hop, R&B and Classics Only,” AFEX has attracted a crowd eager to hear good music, dance, and have a great time—something rare in Hollywood these days. The event has drawn almost every DJ imaginable, from Jazzy Jeff, D-Nice, Kid Capri, to Large Professor and B-Real. Artists and DJs come to spin for the love of the music and the party, paying respect to the spirit of Hip Hop and its roots. AFEX has hosted performances by A Tribe Called Quest, Nice & Smooth, Black Sheep, KRS ONE, Doug E. Fresh, Mad Lion, Cypress Hill, Special Ed, Pharcyde, De La Soul, King T, and Masta Ace. In an effort to bring real hip hop to a new generation, AFEX works tirelessly to provide incredible DJs and artists, celebrating the golden era of Hip Hop every week.
